Shedding occurs in 50% of recipients and peaks at day 2-5 following the vaccine (this is stated in the vaccine insert). This shedding is concentrated due to the number of children receiving it in one place. *The flu spray is a genetically modified vaccine and is the first to contain a GM virus. It contains MSG which is dangerous for anyone with neurological issues. Gentamicin (antibiotic), animal cell lines, neomycin (yet another antibiotic) are amongst many other toxic and damaging chemicals which are classified carcinogens. As it is sprayed directly into the nose, this concoction immediately makes contact with the brain. * The UK vaccine insert lists Guillan Barre syndrome (paralysis) as a possible side effect. The US vaccine insert (same product and ingredients) lists meningitis as a possible side effect. SIX DEATHS have been reported to the MHRA after the fluenz but these have not yet been publicly shared. Sickness, diarrhoea and high temperature/fever are listed as common side effects. *Risk to asthma/immune compromised individuals. The vaccine insert states that it is not suitable for asthmatics or anyone with active wheezing. * Black triangle labelled, meaning safety not yet measured completely and is still being tested (on the recipients) .The black triangle on any vaccine dictates that recipients should be monitored closely at all times after the vaccine. School staff are not medically trained if a severe adverse reaction occurs. School literature given by the NHS doesn't advise to report side effects to yellow card scheme! *The vaccine has not been tested for carcinogenic or mutagenic properties, yet some of the ingredients are known to cause cancer and gene mutations. *Poor effectiveness of only 15% overall (26.9% in school age children). Glutamate- A negatively-charged ion derived from GLUTAMIC ACID and an important excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glutamate can be used as a marker of progression in stroke; concentrations of glutamate are higher in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid of patients with progressive stroke than in those with stable cerebral infarcts. Glutamate, which is produced by neurons deprived of oxygen, prompts the production of highly reactive free radicals that can kill brain cells. FluMist Quadrivalent has not been studied in persons with severe asthma or active wheezing. 5.3 Guillain-Barré Syndrome The 1976 swine influenza vaccine (inactivated) was associated with an elevated risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). Evidence for causal relation of GBS with other influenza vaccines is inconclusive; if an excess risk exists, based on data for inactivated influenza vaccines, it is probably slightly more than 1 additional case per 1 million persons vaccinated1. If GBS has occurred within 6 weeks of any prior influenza vaccination, the decision to give FluMist Quadrivalent should be based on careful consideration of the potential benefits and potential risks. 5.4 Altered Immunocompetence FluMist Quadrivalent has not been studied in immunocompromised persons. The effectiveness of FluMist has not been studied in immunocompromised persons. Data on safety and shedding of vaccine virus after administration of FluMist in immunocompromised persons are limited to 173 persons with HIV infection and 10 mild to moderately immunocompromised children and adolescents with cancer [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.2)]. 5.5 Medical Conditions Predisposing to Influenza Complications The safety of FluMist Quadrivalent in individuals with underlying medical conditions that may predispose them to complications following wild-type influenza infection has not been established. 5.6 Management of Acute Allergic Reactions Appropriate medical treatment and supervision must be available to manage possible anaphylactic reactions following administration of the vaccine [see Contraindications (4.1)]. 5.7 Limitations of Vaccine Effectiveness FluMist Quadrivalent may not protect all individuals receiving the vaccine.
